The Cactus Orchid, also known as Epiphyllum or Orchid Cactus, is a stunning tropical cactus that produces large, exotic, orchid-like blooms. Perfect for hanging baskets or bright indoor spaces, it's a unique addition to any plant collection.
Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves. Morning sun or filtered light works best.
Watering: Water thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Reduce watering in fall and winter. Do not let the soil stay soggy — ensure the pot has drainage.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced, diluted liquid fertilizer. Stop feeding in fall and winter while the plant is resting.
Blooming Tips: Flowers typically bloom in late spring or summer. Cooler nights and slightly dry periods may encourage blooms. Mature plants bloom more reliably.
