Hoya 'Rosita' is a beautiful hybrid known for its slender, elongated leaves that blush red or bronze under bright light. The leaves have a slightly waxy texture and resemble those of Hoya wayetii, but with more intense coloration and subtle veining. This compact, trailing Hoya is admired not only for its foliage but also for its charming clusters of small, star-shaped, red to pinkish flowers with a sweet fragrance.
Light: Bright, indirect light encourages the best color and growth. Can tolerate some direct morning sun. More light will bring out reddish tones in the leaves.
Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil is dry. Avoid letting the roots sit in soggy soil. Let the soil dry out more in cooler months.
Soil: Use a light, chunky mix with excellent drainage—such as orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir or peat.
Generally considered non-toxic, but best kept out of reach of pets and children as a precaution.
