Hoya vitellinoides is a stunning tropical epiphytic vine known for its large, elongated, and glossy green leaves with prominent veining. It’s a sought-after variety among Hoya collectors for both its striking foliage and its fragrant blooms. When mature, it produces clusters of star-shaped, creamy-yellow to light green flowers with a soft, sweet scent.
Care Requirements:
Light: Bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some morning sun but avoid harsh afternoon sun which may scorch the leaves.
Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering—Hoyas prefer to dry out a bit between waterings.
Soil: Well-draining mix, ideally an airy combination of orchid bark, perlite, and peat or coco coir.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, diluted fertilizer.
