Monstera dubia is a fascinating climbing aroid celebrated for its unique "shingling" habit, where its flat, silver-variegated juvenile leaves hug a vertical support.
 
To keep this exotic vine healthy, place it in a spot with bright, indirect light to protect the foliage, and plant it in a loose, chunky, well-draining aroid soil mix. Water the plant thoroughly only after the top two inches of soil have completely dried out, and provide a wooden plank or moss pole to encourage it to climb and eventually develop its mature, split-leaf form.
