Monstera adansonii, commonly known as the Swiss cheese vine or five holes plant, is a popular tropical houseplant belonging to the Araceae family.
This climbing or trailing plant thrives in warm, humid environments and grows naturally under the canopy of large trees, using its aerial roots to cling to surfaces. In home cultivation, it is often grown in hanging baskets or trained to climb moss poles.
Monstera adansonii is relatively easy to care for, preferring indirect light, moderate watering, and well-draining soil. Its rapid growth and unique leaf fenestrations make it a favorite among plant enthusiasts and interior decorators.
