Scindapsus pictus is a beautiful trailing or climbing plant admired for its matte green, heart-shaped leaves adorned with silver spots or splashes. The "satin" texture and shimmering variegation give it a luxurious look, making it a favorite in modern plant decor. It’s often confused with Pothos (Epipremnum), but it’s a distinct genus with thicker leaves and a slightly slower growth habit.
Light: Bright, indirect light is best. Tolerates lower light, but variegation may fade. Avoid direct sun.
Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feels dry. Do not let it sit in soggy soil—root rot is a risk.
Soil: Use a well-draining mix, such as one with potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark.
Fertilizer: Feed monthly in spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer.
